Hi, first-timer here. I thought I'd start with a juicy one, so how about I get wet with Out of the Dreadful Depths by C.D. Willard?

It's here: http://www.gutenberg.org/files/29848/29848-h/29848-h.htm

Happy Families, from:

Limbo by Aldous Huxley, 1894-1963

Strange little play somewhere between scifi and fantasy.
Sounds good. I will PL soon
I did get to Two Weeks in August. It is PL OK.
Thanks, Matt!

Hi Dale,
That is a good one.
PL Notes:
There is a repeat at 28:26-28:33 of "and you do it in a time machine which you bring back to yourself to take yourself into the future...to return and take you back."
Please update it when you have a chance. The stories wind up alphabetized in the catalog according to the filename. Could you name your file "anditcomesouthere"?
Thanks,
Amy

Welcome, Allen.
That story will be about an hour long. I recommend something shorter for a first recording. Instead of getting your feet wet, you could end up in the dreadful depths. Please submit a test in the Listeners and Editors forum to ensure your setup is okay before you put a lot of work into a recording. You won't regret it.
Have fun!

Hi Amy:

I am glad you are doing the PL, I seem to be missing some small stuff. Mind on other things, I guess. Anyway, I think you are correct on the naming,

Ah, I see I skipped a step. Heads will roll. Here's the link to the one-minute test I just uploaded: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=65964

I'll dry off and pick another story. The open sea will have to wait.

Here we go. This should satisfy my "travel interrupted" jones and keep me from getting too soggy.

Oooow...I loved the description; it painted quite a bizarre picture. PL OK.
Thanks, Matt!

Hi Allen,
That does seem like a better choice for the first one. I look forward to hearing it.
Cheers!
Amy

P.S.
I checked your test. All it needs is the compressor to bring the peaks down. It is at 89 db then. Noise cleaning is necessary. Other than that it sounds great.

Hello,

Just did my test and got approved, so I'd like to try one of the Project Gutenberg sci-fi stories that hasn't been done yet.

http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/30062?msg=welcome_stranger

This one's called "The Plague" by Teddy Keller. It's no Andromeda Strain, but it's short and might be a good practice story for my first submission.

Will try to record and submit this weekend.

Hi Josh,
That will be a fine one.
Welcome to the project! There is no need to preclaim so I will not be adding this to the MW until you submit the recording.
Amy :)
