- For your voice credit I hear "Miss" rather than "Mistress," that could be just my ears but try a re-read? Also I would prefer "read by" rather than "narrated by" for consistency
- @ 0:14 missing "Nor I"
Spot check PL OKAct 2
- @ 0:07 missing "Let him come"
- @ 0:39 and 1:11 you are missing the songs - I have uploaded some rough templates for you all to sing along with so please check those out (keyword is "rough" - I know I don't sing well but hopefully you can get an idea of the correct tunes so you can all be singing somewhat in unison )
Spot check PL OKAct 4
- @ 0:40 missing "Long live the Captain"
- at the end again you are missing the group song.

Andrew,
Dramatics are a bit different from normal recordings. In dramatics the only recording of the intro we use is that read by the narrator or stage director so there is no need to record that if you are reading a part.
Also, since dramatics have to be edited we (the editors) greatly appreciate a visual gap between when your character reads and when another reads. This makes editing much faster for us. Some of your breaks are only the space of a sentence break, which most of the time we can work with, it just makes it a bit tougher and takes longer. In the future, please leave double or even triple the length you have used here.
Act 1:
1:20 And now, alas, I have no longer the means to help you all which once were mine. I have resigned the office I held and another has it.
I hear reassigned
Act 2:
0:23 And yonder is (points to back of stage) the wharf where the Mayflower lies which is to carry us to the new country. Who is this stranger who approaches?
Please reread this sentence with a break so we can insert (points to back of stage)
0:46 You shall be one of us, (takes his hand) Captain Standish.
Please reread this sentence with a break so we can insert (takes his hand)
2:15 But now the marniers call. It is time we moved with the tide. They weigh the anchor, and the moment for departing is come. Draw higher, that we may look for the last time on this land.
I hear movement

Please reread allowing room for (voices outside cry, “Land! Land!”)

Seeing as I've never read in a LV team narration, I need a couple of questions answered before I can read the part of John Alden.
1. Do I simply read Alden's lines and leave a few seconds of space between each line, and if so, how many seconds?
2. Does Alden participate in the song at the end of Act 4, and if he does, then how do I go about singing his part without a melody to follow?
Thanks in advance,
-James Alden

Thank you!
Exactly. You'll need to leave 3-5 seconds of silence in between each line.JamesMcAndrew wrote:1. Do I simply read Alden's lines and leave a few seconds of space between each line, and if so, how many seconds?
Yes. He sings the two songs in Act 2 and the one at the end of Act 4. All the songs have melodies to follow. To find the melodies, look in the Magic Window and scroll down to the "Act II" section, for example. You'll see above all the characters' names a "Group song p. 34" link. That's where you'll find the link to the tune of the song.2. Does Alden participate in the song at the end of Act 4, and if he does, then how do I go about singing his part without a melody to follow?
Lol.-James Alden
Thank you!
Thank you! It looks like these have been uploaded to Carolin's folder rather than Tricia G.'s. Could you please upload them to Tricia's folder?SpiderScientist wrote:Hi all,
