I've been offline while they pulled up the cables in my suburb, but I've managed to do two more.

Hi Timothy,

Chapter 2 is PL OK.

Glad you've got your connection back.

I'm making it PL OK Timothy, though you don't leave the full 5 seconds of silence at the end of the file. There has been some discussion about the end silences so I might have missed the conclusions reached.

The King's Bench as experienced by Lord Cochrane was worse than it is in Dickens.

About 5 will do - it's really to give a buffer if the end doesn't play

Thanks for the update Timothy. I'm operating from an ancient netbook myself at the moment.

Could the honorable members and royal dukes really have uttered all those subordinate clauses as fluently as you did? PL OK!

I wonder if it is because no-one dares to interrupt them? They really do seem to use commas a lot more than modern people.

Thank goodness it is PL OK!

Hi, monthly checkin!

I'm still wanting to do this. Cold and flue season has wrecked my time...

Oh nooo. Commiserations, Timothy.

Cochrane has just popped up in one of my solos (a translation from the French). It's 1796 and he's been lurking off New York harbour for two months waiting to capture a French naval vessel should it come out.

Sad. I'm not surprised that "all his pleasures were blasted".

Fautless, and PL OK. Timothy, there has been a new ruling that all files now need only 5 seconds silence at the end.

Best,

Barbara
