No, I haven't done any BC work (well, unless you count the solo projects I've done).philchenevert wrote:That is impressive Jordan! Since you seem to be very tech savvy and know your way around the Magic Window, can I ask if you have every been a Book Coordinator (BC) here in LibriVox yet? If not, may I offer the opportunity for you to 'practice' with this project by posting claims and other stuff? Just a thought.
I would love for you to do this. For one thing it would take a lot of detail work (which I am not good at) off of my plate. So I will put you in as BC which will enable you to post links, put in claims, etc. I will of course be right here to welcome potential readers new to LibriVox and for immediate help. If it ever becomes burdensome please do not hesitate to say so and I will jump in. Projects like this with short sections are excellent for brand new readers to cut their recording and editing teeth on and that is part of the reason why I do a lot of them. But they do need to finish their 1 minute test and get the OK before recording. You will see what I tell 'em when one joins.JorWat wrote:No, I haven't done any BC work (well, unless you count the solo projects I've done).philchenevert wrote:That is impressive Jordan! If you're willing to let me be BC for this, then I'm willing to give it a go!
EDIT: It seems that solo projects do count as me being the BC...

Whoops! That note was probably not there when Tony recorded so I will let this pass, it really isn't important.JorWat wrote:Hi Tony, adonis wrote:There's your "If". Length: 2:57.

There was nothing wrong with the recording. However, you don't need to include 'Rudyard Kipling. From "Rudyard Kipling's Verse, 1885-1918."' at 2:38-2:47. As the opening post says, 'do not read any attribution, such as where the poem came from, e.g. 'from the book Down the Road''.
I looked in the HTML code, and found that each paragraph had an ID, and I knew that meant if you put a #, then the code, the page would load there. So, I copied the HTML code to Excel, filtered the lines where there's '<h2' (which were the poem titles), and did some find and replacing to convert the title and the ID to a link.wib66 wrote:Hi JorWat I would really like to know how you create those links to the sections in the book as it would be really useful for other projects.
Code: Select all
itcanbedone_##_various_128kb.mp3 [b](all lower-case) where ## is the section number (e.g. itcanbedone_01_various.mp3)
Code: Select all
itcanbedone_###_various_128kb.mp3 [b](all lower-case) where ### is the section number (e.g. itcanbedone_001_various.mp3)
with a link to my post with the links to the poems (I've removed the excess stuff, so it's just a list of links now).Note that you will need to open the book and find your chosen poem from the long list. Sorry for the inconvenience but I could not think of an easy way to link to each poem. Let me know if this does not work or is confusing.
Both PL OK! (though I am ever uncertain as to if 6 seconds of silence is too long...)philchenevert wrote:Sections 1 and 2 have been put into the Magic Window for proof listening!
