Happy to record the last section too while I am taking care of the 'roo.
Question - how do you know when you have an orphan section? Is it the time it takes a person to record it or does the person actually return it to you?

thank you!
it depends with orphaning. in principle, a reader gets two months to complete a section, and if it was not recorded by then, the section is orphaned (as soon as the bc remembers to do so). when a project is full, i always send a message to all readers with an older claim, and then sometimes someone gets back to me and asks to give up a section for whatever reason: unexpected decrease of free time, illness, tonguetwisters or french phrases hidden in the text, the reader unexpectedly didnt like the text or author, the microphone or computer broke, etc. etc. this can always happen (happened to me several times)

Here is Section 13 - To the Great Wall of China. Interesting that the writer talks about how their treatment as foreigners visiting China was not as bad as the way the Chinese were being treated in the US at the time.
