uploading from garage band
What zip? GarageBand does not upload anything, does it?
GarageBand creates an MP3 file on your hard drive (or another storage device), no? It's when you start uploading, the browser (or the system), instead of keeping the file as is, creates an archive of it, probably. What browser are you using?

Sorry, I don't know that browser. I know Chrome, Edge (IE), Firefox, Opera.jcrosbie wrote:I am using google for my browser.
Let's hope a Mac user can help us shed some light on the problem you're experiencing.

The problem is that you are trying to upload a GarageBand file rather than an MP3.
You're adding the ".mp3" to the file name when you save it, but that doesn't make it an MP3. You have to export it as MP3.
Here are instructions from our wiki on how to make an MP3 using GarageBand: http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/GarageBand#Saving_and_Creating_an_MP3_File_and_ID3_Tags
However, GB has a lot of quirks which make it hard to use for LibriVox. (It's very hard to figure out how to make a 128kbps mono MP3.) You're welcome to try it, but I suggest downloading and installing Audacity instead. It's free, and since most of us use it, you'll get a lot more help with it.
