Oh, also, I REALLY don't do French, so I honestly have no idea how I did on that one word. Yikes.

Chapter 44:

https://librivox.org/uploads/maryannspiegel/sirgibbie_44_macdonald_128kb.mp3

Time is 24:13.

I confess to being a little intimidated at Chapter 46. There's just SO MUCH Scotch! But I will take it nonetheless.

Here is 46:

Recording the Scotch wasn't so bad as I had feared. It was the editing that was tough. Before editing, this was about 40 minutes long!

I'll also take 48 and 50, please.

Hello,
May I do section 44, The Sinner?

Is there anything I need to know in terms of pronunciations etc?

Hi, and welcome! This project has had some work done lately that hasn't yet been entered into the MW, so it's a bit out of date. I have already recorded and submitted ch. 44, but it seems our BC has been out for awhile. I wonder if it would be possible to give her a little nudge. I think she mentioned awhile back that she was having a problem with not getting emails notifying her that there had been activity here.

As near as I can tell, 51-54 and 56-59 are all still open. As far as pronunciation, the Scotch is pretty tough at times. You might try going to YouTube or something and searching for Scottish accents to get a feel for it. In particular, there is one youtuber that I've really enjoyed and found to be helpful, and that is weescottishlass. Also, make use of the glossary at the end of the book if necessary to help you understand the Scotch sections. It seems to me that if you don't understand what it's saying, you'll be less able to help your listener understand.
