Greetings kind friends :D

I notice that this project is 'slated' for completion @ 1/2013 -- inasmuch as there has been no (visible) activity for some considerable time I'm wondering if this is now a 'dead project'?

For my part I hope not! -- It so takes me back to the daze of my youth (sic).

Great story and excellent reader -- please continue the great work!!!

Many thanks and best regards
Dan

It will be finished when the reader has time. Please wait until it is finished before listening , the links in the Magic Window are only to be used by people helping to produce the book.

Sorry for the delays. I started a new job and managed to misplace my iRiver T10 in the transition. I WILL finish this project (I have a history of taking long breaks from projects but still completing them eventually), but it won't be until later in 2013. (I have updated the projected finish date to May 2013).

Moving files to ~/abandoned/lighthouses since Betsie doesn't have a folder in the new uploader.

Oh, and moving this to On Hold. ;)

Betsie PM'd me that she's restarting this project. :)

I assume you haven't worked with the new Magic Window?

Detailed Instructions for accessing the Magic Window can be found in the document linked below: Instructions for Soloists

Video showing how to use the Magic Window (read the above document first - it has the information on how to log in for the first time, which this does not have):
Magic Windows / Section Compiler: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nOP4tcr1kl8

Other changes since 2012:
- You don't need to enter the ID tags. The cataloging system pulls the info out of the project database file & magic window.
- Your file names need a _128kb at the end, for Archive. I've changed your file name sample in the first post.

You said you're redoing all the sections, correct? I can clean out the MW in that case, and delete the files out of the uploader, where they're in storage. But please confirm before I do this. :)

I entered the genres as Children's Fiction>Action & Adventure and also plain old Action & Adventure Fiction. If you want to see the genre list and pick them for yourself, you can see the pick list here: https://librivox.org/add_project

Thank you Tricia!

Yes, I am replacing all of the files with new versions. Please delete any old audio files that happen to still exist in the uploader.

I'll look over the new MW instructions this weekend too. =)

Betsie,
If you need a new DPL I'd be happy to volunteer. And welcome back. :)

The previous DPL hasn't been around since 2013, so they won't claim the job. Unless Betsie had someone else lined up, I think you're in, Betty. I've put you in the project, which can be changed if Betsie has any objections. ;)

This project is resurrected. Files all need a quick PL.

"I recorded this for the National Library Service, so we already did a round of proof-listening, but it wouldn't hurt to have a PLer double check that all of the opening and closing statements on each file are correct."

I'd also like the run times. :) File names will be changed at cataloging time.
