Sections 25–29 are uploaded and ready for PL.

25: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_25_desales_128kb.mp3 (5:31)
26: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_26_desales_128kb.mp3 (4:52)
27: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_27_desales_128kb.mp3 (1:39)
28: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_28_desales_128kb.mp3 (2:28)
29: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_29_desales_128kb.mp3 (1:45)

I've only been grabbing a couple sections at a time as I've been getting started on Librivox, but now that I'm getting into the swing of reading and recording (and also, looking ahead and seeing some shorter sections of text) I'd be happy to claim sections 35–45 to finish out Part 2 if that's okay, or fewer if that's preferred. :)

A wonderful idea Dylan and I am glad you are feeling more comfortable here. I will happily assign those sections to you and ThANK YOU very much! Never be shy about claiming sections since you are obviously a proficient and conscientious reader . We love you! :D
EDIT: are the links to the text OK? I always worry about that when doing it this way. I mean do they cause any confusion?

Yes that would be sections 53 and 54. Some excellent sections sections indeed! We need to learn gentleness towards others and ourselves especially. :D

Thank you so much for your encouragement!

I'm not sure what you mean by "this way" vs. what other way it's done, since I'm still a little green :), but no, I find the links and the site pretty straightforward. I have been skipping the footnotes, which I hope is okay.

Skipping the footnotes is fine.
Usually, the link to the text is to a whole book and is only at the beginning of the project so readers find their chapter by themselves; whereas in this case, because of the number of books and chapters involved, decided to just put a link to the specific chapter. Usually this is not done. Glad it is not confusing.

Great job on sections 25-29! Section 25 is PL OK :)

A small PL note on sections 26-29:
please reduce the end silence to approximately 5 seconds. Save with the same filename, upload and post again in the thread.

Everything else is good

Sorry it's taking me so long to get my chapters in but I caught a cold/cough last week and have lost my voice. I think I am on the mend though and will try to record at the beginning of next week.

No problem Nathan. Take your time, get well and record when you feel OK. Image
[I am just getting over a bad cold/stuffed sinuses thingie myself so I have cut back on my recording. Happens all the time.

Okay. Going to try this. I would like to read sections 46-47, pending my one minute test. Excited to get started!

Hi Danielle and a big welcome to LibriVox. I've assigned those two sections to you but please wait until your little test is cleared before recording 'em. Would you like to have a different catalog name than your forum name (Jibchmarl)? A lot of us use our real names but it is your choice. Ask if anything is confusing or unclear, we are a friendly bunch here. Image

EDIT: I don't see your 1 minute test in the Listener's Wanted forum. Did you post it there? By the way, here is little video called Getting To know Our Forums http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PnxpcbnEjoQ&feature=youtu.be it may or may not explain some of the jargon we use here.....

Sure, I will use Danielle Hetzel as my catalog name.

Also, my kids were being...loud...last night so I didn't get a chance to record my 1 minute test. Hopefully I'll get a chance tonight - AFTER they're in bed!

Re-uploading 26–29 according to PL notes.

26: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_26_desales_128kb.mp3 (4:48)
27: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_27_desales_128kb.mp3 (1:34)
28: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_28_desales_128kb.mp3 (2:23)
29: https://librivox.org/uploads/philchenevert/introductiontothedevoutlife_29_desales_128kb.mp3 (1:40)

Question: Is it kosher to record several sections together in one file with just one start and end disclaimer for the batch, or is it preferred to stick to the section divisions as I've been doing?
