Thank you, Craig! Great piece for this collection. MW updated! (And just a friendly reminder that this concludes your 3 submissions for this Coffee Break collection, but please be on hand for volume 13!)
MaryAnn, do you think I should list the author as Various? I can't see the main editor for that newspaper. Thanks!

I cannot volunteer as DPL, but as a Welshman born and raised in Welsh Wales , I could not resist listening to this lyric in my sister-language. Strawberry Leaves (or perhaps Petals?) - in Cornish, Deilkijow Sevi; in Welsh, Dail Syfi - is excellently rendered _ PL OK - and I hope that Cornish will be added to the LibriVox language listing. Both the reader and our site should take pride in making audible this revived tongue. - Perhaps someone will record in the remaining Southern-Celtic language - the Gallic of Brittany?I did promise it would be obscure, didn't I?
"Delkiow Sevi" ("Strawberry Leaves"), A Traditional Song of Flirtatious Banter in the Cornish Language - cited in William Pryce’s 1790 Archaeologia Cornu-Britannica
With admiration
Martin
Martin, thanks for taking a listen! It would be great to have more Cornish!
Thanks to kathrinee for the MW update!

Dydh da, Martin! Da yw genev metya genes. Meur ras!
While my male line is Cornish, my mother's grandfather was an expatriate Welshman. The only phrase that has come down the generations to me is "Cardig geg!" Would that make him North Wales?
I'm told my rendition of Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau is "recognisable", whatever that means. Of course, there's also a Cornish version of it, "Bro goth agan tasow", and the Cornish language version of Trelawny, both of which I'd love to do for LibriVox, but I've never been able to find a PD source for it.
Nyns yw unn yeth lowr,
Mab an Dhivresow
(One language is never enough,
Son of the Exiles)

About 5 days ago I submitted the below but have not received acknowledgment. Am wondering if it was somehow overlooked. Just checking.

Michele,
I dropped Rosie a PM this morning, just in case her notifications were not working on this thread.
