Thanks Jason for your excellent readings of the Charles Dickens Christmas tales - I have used one of them for a radio show on storytelling and it's going to be broadcast on 21st December 2016 at 7pm on 102.5FM - in case you have time and want to listen in!
The show will be available thereafter on Soundcloud.
All the best

Ah, right - still a bit new to operating cutting edge broadcasting mechanisms actually, so thank you for telling me what info you need! :D
I'm really not sure about online streaming, but I don't think so, I think it's retrospective - will be in the studio later and will ask the boss. Will add to this if I'm wrong!

Soundart Radio, Dartington, UK. 102.5FM. It's at 7pm GMT!

The show is about stories and ways of telling stories, and this one is a Christmas special, so quite packed with material, some of which I tell myself.

It just occurs to me - I'm working on making the programme more interactive in the new year, and if anyone wants to make any suggestions about good narratives / readings, post them through Librivox??
I seem to remember that long threads are an issue on the site, so that would be a bridge to cross should we come to it...

Do you need anything else I've forgotten?

I'm sure people would be happy to contribute suggestions of short stories etc. I'd create a new thread with the requirements - length, language, types - fiction / non fiction poetry etc.

Also pm the readers to notify them before and after with the sound cloud link as many may not be reading the forum.

There's even a Wikipedia page about SoundArt, and a link from there to their web site!

... though either I couldn't get the online player to work properly or there was a very strange programme being played (at 1210 gmt). I'll try again later.

No, it wasn't your player, Peter, there IS a strange programme being played after midnight - it was originally an offer that allowed the radio station to say it had 24 hours coverage, I think...

Just look for the programmes you like the sound of - check out a whole month, as some shows are fortnightly, and some are only monthly, by no means all are weekly ... there's some very quirky and interesting ones there. It's mixed programming, so varies widely.

Sabrina :)

And thank you, Kim - I might need some help with that, as have already tried Jason Mills' 'catalog name' and his 'forum name' in the PM window, and can't find him through either. :|

Thanks, Sabrina; I'll try searching as you suggested.

(When I listened at 1210, that was just after noon; you worry me if the midnight broadcast is even stranger!)

Oooh dear, well, I wasn't aware of diurnal strangeness! Will ask this evening, when I will be in the studio - maybe it'll be seen as useful feedback - if the programming is too mixed so that there are some DJs just 'zoning out'? I don't know what everyone does there, but know of some very good programmes... let's hope it was your player after all!!

PMs use forum names for addresses. Jason Mills is Vandermast. He should be PMable :D using that name.
