EU public domain 2017

i have come across a whole bunch of authors who have died in 1946, and i thought it would be interesting for those of us who need to consider authors' death dates to collect those authors who will enter the public domain in january

wikipedia has a short list:
Helen Bannerman
Otis Adelbert Kline
Damon Runyon
Frona Eunice Wait
H. G. Wells

id like to add constance garnett, the prolific translator from russian to english. anything else you guys came across?

Looking at the Deaths sections of Wikipedia's 1946 page, people listed there as 'author', 'writer' or 'poet' include:

• Dion Fortune
• Gerhart Hauptmann
• Orrick Glenday Johns
• Edward Sperling
• Gertrude Stein
• Wanda Gág
• Ray Stannard Baker
• Countee Cullen

EDIT: I was curious as to what we already have from these authors:
Helen Bannerman - 6 recordings of three poems
Otis Adelbert Kline - Nothing, as most of his books are not PD in America. Some for Legamus, methinks!
Damon Runyon - Same as above
Frona Eunice Wait - Nothing
H. G. Wells - Predictably, lots
Constance Garnett - Quite a bit
Dion Fortune - Another with little in the American PD
Gerhart Hauptmann - One book in progress
Orrick Glenday Johns - Nothing
Edward Sperling - Nothing
Gertrude Stein - A couple of things
Wanda Gág - Another with little in the American PD
Ray Stannard Baker - A couple of things
Countee Cullen- Another with little in the American PD

So yeah... most of these people have not written much that can be recorded here anyway...

If they died in 1946 then any of their works can be recorded on legumus.eu. Books will still need to have been published pre 1923 to be recorded here.

He died 1941 - so it's all PD in Australia and most countries except the USA . So you can record it all - LV just can't host it under current rules unti Jan 1st 1941+95+1 , only a few years away

Yes - from Jan 1st 2016. (it's like racehorses birthdays, all become PD on 1st jan the year after copyright expires)
