Definitely needed to split this section. I kept the sections pretty even. Let me know you want it split a different way. Section 38 is Chapter 37, part 2.

Kristin, I recommend lots of caffeine...

Linny, thank you SO much! I didn't realize how much longer that chapter was than the others! I added a new section for it in the MW and reordered it accordingly. Luckily the last two sections haven't been claimed yet so we won't have to change any file names.

The chapter contained 21 patterns and 3 stitches were also explained. It was great for my speech therapy but other than poor Kristin I can't imagine anyone ever listening to it.

Might I also claim section 35? All story, no patterns. :mrgreen:

I would also like to claim the last two sections. I've already recorded them but still need to edit. I don't knit so at some point I had a fit of the giggles since the instructions were like reading gibberish.

Too funny! It's like what I would feel like if I had to read some kind of scientific manual. To be fair, knitting patterns sometimes seem like gibberish even if you have a lot of experience with them.

All your sections are in the MW! Thank you!

Sections 35, 37 and 38 are PL OK!

If it helps at all Lynnette, I know how to crochet, and that sounded like gibberish to me.

Great news! I'm a crocheter too, so at least I understood what those parts were. I think those long sections will make for great nap time listening. Glad you made it through. Thank you!

I listened to Section 39.

At 9:29, it appears that linny may have decided to cut out the "as shown in illustration" portion of the sentence, which is neither here nor there; however, the lilt on the word "buttons" and then the cut to the next part of the sweater sort of makes it sound as though there was more to say after "buttons."

I've marked it PL OK, but if linny wants to change it, that's good too.

I won't be able to record before 11/28. If the project hasn't completed by then I certainly will make that change. Thank you for catching it, Kristin. :thumbs:

I would like to claim the final chapters 30 through 34 if that's acceptable.

Here are chapters 30 and 31. Just a couple of notes;

1. I didn't include the "see page 182" comments (like suggested earlier in the thread) except in one particular case where they're joining the sweater together and saying join line a-b so that a meets a and b meets b. I felt the frontispiece photo was relevant to that explanation so included the comment. If you would rather I stick with the norm, let me know and I will edit that out.

2. In chapter 31, there is a letter from mother that is being read by Mary Frances. I took the t.v or movie idea and read it in the writer's (Mother's) voice rather than in the reader's (Mary Frances') voice. If you would prefer it done the other way let me know and I'll fix it.
