I edit these books using mostly works found on Project Gutenberg. Format is initially PDF, then Archive turns them into EPubs and other formats. Feel free to record any or all of these for the Short Works projects. 8-)

In this issue: tales from the deep South, from the urban North, and from Hindu and Gaelic legends.

Christmas and New Year's Day themes.

I used to be BellonaTimes, btw. I've stopped recording for LV but I'm still around. ;)

This is something new I'm doing -- Things Past; it has more of my writing in it and it also has reprints from PD literary magazines (Poetry, The Dial, Yale Literary Review, etc) that haven't made it to Distributed Proofreaders yet. It has a Creative Commons license because of my own articles on film, radio, and an editorial within.

The focus is on New York City, with links to the top ten live shows on Archive, including Grateful Dead; a couple of video documentaries from the 60's; and actual printed testimony of NYC-based television execs and journalists being grilled by HUAC in the early 1950's. There are also scans of work by Lola Ridge, an article on then-modern art (1920's) a short mystery story, some pulp fiction from the teens, and a review of the new Prairie Home Companion sans Mr. Keillor.

Happy Independence Day, fellow Americans!

https://archive.org/details/July4thSampler
Begins with the Declaration of Independence (Brexit voters take note) to Jimmy Carter's inaugural address in 1977, with various points in between. I'd like to hear Stowe's interview with Sojourner Truth recorded, hint-hint.

https://archive.org/details/July4thOTRCollection
This is for the old-time radio crowd, including the You Are There episode about the DoI. Some of the shows are specifically patriotic, others are just for fun.
