Yes, we managed to move the last things today and so my desk and computer are set up now, way more comfortable than with the laptop.
I'm having some small issues with the recording, because there is some noise which is enerving me if I record "silence", but I fear I can't do anything about it as it's pretty sure that it comes out of the power socket like that. Old house, old wires...
"Böser Strom", as it's called here if (electrical) things are not working as they should be

this sounds quite uncanny

I hope you manage to work around it, maybe with an adapter which regulates the current ? I have no experience with such technical matters though. Well, maybe the noise-cleaning of Audacity will work wonders.
