[SOLO]The Chemistry of Cookery by W. Mattieu Williams 1820-1892).
Written in the late 1800's Williams wrote the book to provide explanations to cooks everywhere, regardless of gender or educational background about the whys and hows of cooking ( Niki Myers)
- Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/53458
- Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard
IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

Sorry Jo
Niki
You are the BC for your Solo and will need to fill in the Magic Window (MW) . This may help
http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Soloists:_How_to_update_the_Magic_Window. I've filled in the first 3 titles to give an example - see how you get on.

In the catalogue, the book is linked to Ralph VAUGHAN WILLIAMS (1872 - 1958). It should be W. Mattieu Williams. Since I can't change the catalogue, could someone attribute this book to the correct author, please?

Yay! Sounds good. Its just such a fascinating book that newly came into Gutenburg. I just had to do it. It's relaxing for me anyway. So, why not.

MW looks good
I added the times to it - it's the way we keep track of files being complete when we move them
Let's give it a day or so to see if a DPL drops by , if not we'll advertise for one.

Oh yeah. I'm not doing anymore today. I just wanted to get those two finished edited and put up. And I remembered about the times when I was out on a walk with my dog like few minutes ago. So I just got back so I'm glad you called it and got it for a good. Because it would've still been a while. Seem to be having blonde moments.

Preface:
2:43-2:47 - "Stonebridge Park...1885" - this little bit was quite a bit louder than the surrounding audio.
10 seconds of silence at the end; only needs 5 when sections are under 30 minutes.
Section 1:
6:51-6:56 - "is merely a technical operator...intelligence" - this phrase is quite a bit louder than the surrounding audio.
10 seconds of silence at the end; only needs 5
