Please wait until your test is okay'd before recording, though.
To assign you that section I need a catalog name. This shows up in the LibriVox catalog alongside your forum name. Here is an example. Your catalog name can be your forum name, a pseudonym, your real name, or whatever you wish. I can also add a blog or website.

Hi avocado,

You can post your 1-minute test in the "Listeners & Editors Wanted" forum. Here's a link:

Once your 1-minute test gets the OK, you can sign up to read your first poem/short text, like the one you offered to read here. The coordinator for the project (like Kangaroo692 here) will create your catalog page. All you need to do is tell the coordinator what name you want to use for your recordings that get included in the catalog.

As Kangaroo692 said, your catalog name can be your forum name, a pseudonym, your real name, or whatever you wish. So you could just go by "avocado" if you want, or you can also have your real name listed as well. And if you have a blog or website, that can be included also.

Avocado, as Alitheia said, we usually like to have 1 minute tests posted in the Listeners and Editors Wanted, but you don't need to post it again, I just checked it and it is OK, but I do have a few notes.
* Volume is a little bit low at 86.2 dB, but still within the acceptable range. We try to aim for 89 dB, but we'll accept anything from 86-92 dB.
* Remember to use correct filenames. These don't have capitals, have an underscore, and usually have the forum name. Example: test_kangaroo692.mp3 This is not horribly important, however it gets you used

These are just some notes to optimize your recordings, but you are good to record!
