The Tale of Buster Bumblebee by Arthur Scott Bailey (1877 - 1949).

Quote:
This charming collection of short stories features a bumblebee called Buster, his (extensive) family, and a great number of other animals who he meets after they move home to a new meadow. ( Rosslyn Carlyle)

  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://www.gutenberg.org/files/18662/18662-h/18662-h.htm
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

All set up. :D I shortened the file name a little by taking out "taleof".

:-) Thankyou!

D-: I've had the flu for the last week and a half so couldn't record anything, my voice still sounds pretty gunky but i ejected something the size of a three piece suite from my nose before recording chapter 4 just now (ready for PL, MW updated) and I think it helped a bit.

I think this chapter was recorded with a faster pace than the other three, but i can slow the pace down a bit again and I don't think people will really notice.

Chapter 14 has a repeat @ 2:07 "and then all of my friends...and then all my friends..."
Chapter 15 has a repeat @ 3:32 "and picked the frightened carpenter...and picked the frightened captive up"
Chapter 18 has a couple of repeats:
- @ 4:02 "Buster Bumblebee was certainly disappointed...Buster Bumblebee was certainly disappointed.
- @ 4:14 It wasn't the raising bee at all that had brought all the neighbors together there...It wasn't the raising bee after all...

Chapters 4-13, 16, 17, 19 and 20 are PL OK. :D

Your character voices are great fun!

 Thankyou, I am glad to hear that you are enjoying these cute wee stories.

All files fixed and reuploaded, with MW updated.

I should be able to record the final three chapters soon too.
