You're in!

Yes, it has been interesting. There are some things that are obsolete, but a lot is still relevant.

Just wanted to check in and let you know I've recorded my sections. I'll edit and upload later this week, barring unforeseen circumstances. :-)

Ah, for once there's no waiting for me...

I might be claiming more later on, but I better go and clear my reading list a little. I thought I was pretty much done after the cleanup, but since then, so many interesting non fiction projects started again...
Cheers, Ava.

I don't recall from the previous volume. How are we handling Footnotes and figures?

Depends. If the footnotes are just bibliographical, skip them. If they're interesting, include them. I would say go ahead and read the two footnotes in your sections.

If the figure needs to be described, describe it. If it's self-evident in the text, don't. The two hands on page 746 are explained well enough in the text, so skip them. :)

Thanks! Not only for answering the question, but specifically checking on my specific situations!

Welcome! I'll pencil you in for that section. It should be about 30-35 minutes of finished recording.

I do recommend you do the 1-minute test before starting in on it, though. Better to work through any technical problems with a short recording than a long one. :)

How would you like to be credited in the catalog? There are places for a catalog name (some use a nickname or forum name, some their real name) and a personal web site or blog, if you have one. CLICK HERE for an example of what I'm talking about. I recommend using whatever name you say (if any) when you say, "recorded by [your name]" as that's how listeners will look for you. (Keep in mind that prospective employers, classmates, etc. can also find you using the catalog name, so be cautious if privacy might be an issue.)
