Phil and I are in the flood zone in Baton Rouge, as seen on TV. I am high and dry so far and have power, but he has lost everything. His home, computer, etc. He asked me to let ya'll know. I will keep you posted as long as I am able, but don't want to flood my email with replies. If just one MC replies to this post, please, it will confirm you have received.

I'm glad you're OK! I'm so sorry to hear about Phil, though. Please let him know, if you talk to him again, that the admins are looking after his projects. I know LV is the least of his concerns at the moment.

Thanks everyone and I will pass the message to Phil. This is the coverge locals watch all day, and WAFB has a great ap for your phone. The rescue efforts in my neighborhood are just about finished for today. I have many pics on my facebook which ya'll are welcome to view at:

My main observation: everyone is well behaved, courteous, resourceful, patient, and helping each other out. It has been amazing!
Whew! If I was a gifted author, this is certainly an experience for one's memoirs!

Are there other LV'ers from Louisiana? I didn't know.

So sorry to hear this about Phil's home. Glad both of you are all right. Hope your home is safe. A friend lost her home to Katrina, so I have a small idea what folks in Louisiana are going through. Thinking of our neighbors in Louisiana.

Phil and Michele,
My Louisiana neighbors are in my prayers. WoW... The rains y'all received were definitely of biblical proportions. I am glad you are both safe.
