okay if I go ahead with 63, 64, 66?
I just got a new mike and hope it makes a big difference. Letter 53 got some weird whistling sound on it that I couldn't completely eradicate, not sure if it is my microphone or because I was rereading A Wind in the Door!

ps I can't really tell the difference between using this new yeti mic and the webcam one I was using for the past year. Can you?

Thanks for telling me how the new mic sounds, I really cannot hear much of a difference, which is good since I'm perfectly happy with my $10 tape player, but was making me nervous about such an expensive investment, but I want to put more time into recordings that require more listener attention, like this one--now I need to figure out why I'm picking up alien squeals and what sounds like water.
okay, if I keep moving up the letter ladder---I'll always check to make sure no one else has requested something I may start working on

The same to you, Michelle!Mich_elle wrote:Happy Feast Day tomorrow, to St. Jane and all of you recording here.
I listened with headphones on and I could tell a definite difference. If you are unsure about settings, want to tweak things, etc., perhaps you could ask on the forum for advice from others who have a yeti. I have no experience with it myself! I know the feeling about making that investment in a good microphone. I thought long and hard years ago before I purchased my better, but much more expensive mic, but I have never regretted it since! (and I definitely think I have gotten my money's worth out of it!)Thanks for telling me how the new mic sounds, I really cannot hear much of a difference, which is good since I'm perfectly happy with my $10 tape player, but was making me nervous about such an expensive investment, but I want to put more time into recordings that require more listener attention, like this one--now I need to figure out why I'm picking up alien squeals and what sounds like water.
That is fine with me!okay, if I keep moving up the letter ladder---I'll always check to make sure no one else has requested something I may start working on
