I have just finished PLing your story and wow, this was enjoyable. I really liked hearing all the Dutch words spoken in an authentic accent by a native speaker. You have an agreeable voice for narration and all was clearly understandable. Also no textual errors that need to be mentioned as nothing was changing the meaning of the text.

I almost feel bad for mentioning something to amend after all but right at the end you barely left 2 seconds of silence, whereas our standard for recordings under 30 minutes are 5 seconds of silence at the end. Would it be possible for you to insert 3 more seconds of silence at the end and reupload with the same file name, please ?

Once this is amended it can be safely marked PL ok.

Also the Mouldy Penny is excellently read. I love the way you speak in character when there is direct speech in the text. Makes it very lively to listen to.

The story about the name Schimmelpfennig is really interesting, it’s a known name in the German language too and I already wondered how it came about. So now I know.

It was read nearly word-perfect, I only found a tiny error right at the beginning, and I'm not even sure if my ears were not mistaking me...maybe you can have a listen and check whether it was really an error:

> at 0:30: “Gold makes a woman penny-white” – I think you said “God” instead of “Gold”. For this story it is important that the word be "Gold" though, since that is the topic of the tale.

All the rest was wonderful. Thanks

Sonia, your PL'ing is a delight. You're absolutely right: I mis-spoke the very-first-word of the tale - aaaaarrrrgh!!! - and, worse still, didn't catch it in my own PLing. I shall fix this tomorrow morning. Thank you. 'Nuff said.

LOL yes when I heard that I thought "oh-oh, this is a bad start" and I braced myself for many errors to come...luckily it was the only one, after that it was smooth sailing till the end.
