COMPLETE Rilla of Ingleside - rap
Could I read for Jim Carter (Section 27)? (Though after this, I doubt there will be any chapters left with roles I could take! )
Thanks Maggie and Twinkle! Those parts are yours!
Maggie, in Ch 21 Carl is one of the "soldiers" reading the line in bold - I didn't want to create a new group of people for one line so I doubled up with other roles - if you could try dropping your voice for that line to sound like a soldier, it's not actually meant to be Carl - just a crowd scene.
Maggie, if you could also take one of the one-line characters in Ch 6, that would be lovely! There's two ladies and "Voice 3" - it's another crowd scene!

Hello!
Here is Irene Howard in Chapter 6: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/rilladr_06_irenehoward.mp3
Chapter 10: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/rilladr_10_irenehoward.mp3
and Chapter 15: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/rilladr_15_irenehoward.mp3
I'm not sure if I said the line in Chapter 6 too close to the mic - it sounds a bit sharp. Let me know if I need to rerecord it.

Is it me or do the words sound a bit clipped?

Twinkle, I've just realised that Olive Kirk also appears in Chapter 14 - just one line, if you could read that one as well please?Twinkle88 wrote:Could I read for Jim Carter (Section 27)? (Though after this, I doubt there will be any chapters left with roles I could take! )

Thanks Anna! Irene Howard Chapters 10, 13, 14 and 15 are all PL OK! I like the expressively sarcastic tones you've given her, especially in the last two chapters and the "apology" chapter!East wrote:Here is Irene Howard in Chapter 13: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/rilladr_13_irenehoward.mp3

Hello!
Here is Una Meredith: https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/rilladr_23_unameredith.mp3
I've attempted a vaguely North American accent, in order to differentiate between Irene and Una. I feel the very end ('...would keep faith.') sounds quite British English, but I couldn't figure out another way to say it. Any tips? Or is it not very distracting?
