Bible (RV) NT 01: The Gospel According to S. Matthew by Revised Version ( - 0).

This project is now complete! All audio files can now be found on the catalog page for this project: https://librivox.org/bible-erv-nt-01-the-gospel-according-to-s-matthew-by-english-revised-version/
The Gospel According to Matthew is one of the four canonical gospels, one of the three synoptic gospels, and the first book of the New Testament. The narrative tells how the Messiah, Jesus, rejected by Israel, finally sends the disciples to preach his Gospel to the whole world. ( Glenn O'Brien)
  • Text source (only read from this text!): http://ebible.org/eng-rv/index.htm
  • Type of proof-listening required (Note: please read the PL FAQ): standard

IMPORTANT - soloist, please note: in order to limit the amount of languishing projects (and hence the amount of files on our hard-pressed server), we ask that you post an update at least once a month in your project thread, even if you haven't managed to record anything. If we don't hear from you for three months, your project may be opened up to a group project if a Book Coordinator is found. Files you have completed will be used in this project. If you haven't recorded anything yet, your project will be removed from the forum (contact any admin to see if it can be re-instated).
Please don't download or listen to files belonging to projects in process (unless you are the BC or PL). Our servers are not set up to handle the greater volume of traffic. Please wait until the project has been completed. Thanks!

I would really love to DPL this, if you're still looking for one.

I'll set this up - will be back in a bit with a MW

ETA:
Here it is! I shortened the filename a bit -- and you might use your own judgement to fix the intro and outro so it fits the recording. Have fun, you two -- and let me know if there is anything I can do to help :)

Chapter 1 is PL OK.

Chapter 2:
1:34: Slight stumble, but may be worth looking at. I hear something like: "And they came... to... into the house"

Other than that, these chapters are great! I look forward to the rest of this project.

Hi, Glen,

Chapter 2 now appears to be PL OK, but there's something I'm hoping to check first. I'll mark it appropriately tomorrow. I haven't had a chance to listen to Chapter 3 yet, but hope to do that tomorrow morning. Thanks!

I am going to do the New Testament books first. I will hopefully record the Old Testament books later.
