May I please have the next available slot? I have a purloined Philips Voice Tracer.

I also have access to different laptop with different software (Windows 10) than I did when I recorded the first entry. Would you like a sample of the same mic with these variables?

Closing silence was 12 seconds - should be five

Section 38
1:21
Closing silence should be 5 seconds

The Voice Tracer sounds quite nice. However, it does record at a fairly low volume level and appears to miss out on the high end frequencies.

Sorry it's taken so long to post...

I found that recording something with defined poetic lines was easier than recording the prose piece I had initially proposed, and after seeing that my section did not have a title/microphone listed, I recorded the following:

Psalm 24, Version 1, from THE PSALMS OF DAVID by Isaac Watts

Believe it or not, this oldest recorder I own seems to do the best job. It's a nice, easy, portable setup, and it's quite forgiving as far as positioning goes. Let me know what you think.

I do have three more microphones, which I recorded for the fun of it. May I have three additional sections, please? I've already recorded the texts for them, so there shouldn't be a long delay this time around. Thanks!

Reading is PL OK.

The sound was clear and pleasant, and the noise level very low. The Olympus doesn't have the same richness as a large diaphragm condeser microphone, but nor does it have the same price tag.

I have allocated sections 12, 13 and 39 for your other recordings.

I do use this microphone on occasion, especially to re-record a single phrase, but on the whole it isn't an ideal setup. I've found, and you doubtless will agree, that it requires quite a bit of noise-cleaning for actual readings.

The internal microphone on the Dell sounds surprisingly good, but, as you say, significant noise cleaning would be required for a regular project.
