I'd like to volunteer for Section 22--Thank you!

(How should I read the box/chart of dimensions?)

When adding in the MW I didn't notice these tables, I probably should have looked more closely. You can try to explain the figures if you want, but I would probably just say the description of the figures. (example: where it says "Fig. 1.--A square of material hung by one corner, from any convenient support, in a manner to make a comfortable shelter; it will shed rain and reflect heat. This square makes a good fly or a good ground cloth for any of the tents.")

I appreciate your interest in this project and I will sign you up.

Thanks--I have done the figures as you suggested.

Now I have a question about the box of tent dimensions--(and I have googled this and people are split on answers, so that was no help!)

Do I read: (for example) Size 9---------- 7 and a half by 8 (feet or foot)--which one?
60 square (feet/foot)?
6 and a half (foot/feet) high?

Or do I just use my own judgment--because that's a lot to do over if I make the wrong choice. lol

Thanks!

I suggest to use feet, because I think that sounds better.
Go ahead and record it like below, I think that will work.
Thank you so much for helping with this project!

I completed it without checking back for your answer--I just read what sounded natural, and I hope that it is okay. Please check it and tell me your opinion--if I need to re-record, I definitely will.

I was looking through some of the other sections and realized how much practical information is in there that our parents taught us when we were little--of course, my father WANTED a boy, but ended up with 5 little girls....sigh.....

Thanks again!

Sure, that would be wonderful!
Sorry about not replying to your post earlier, somehow I didn't find this in my updates.

EDIT - What would you like for a catalog name? It can be your real name, or your username. It is what shows up in the LibriVox catalog, and on your reader page. I can also add a link to a website if you want. :)
