[Group] Narrative of The Life of David Crockett -Lynnet

Noise removal needed. Use last 5s to get a noise profile. Do this before the next item. The link below may be helpful.

Volume is high (96.4dB) and needs to be amplified by -7dB. As this is a group project we need to all have volumes close to the recommended 89dB. This link may be helpful.

1:40-1:41 word stumble. With some careful editing the extra syllable can be deleted.
Nice reading. Now if I can only find that old coonskin cap that I’ve had since childhood.

alright! i've just uploaded chap 2 - length 21m13s. fyi i'm using current version of audacity 2.1.0 and the noise removal (now reduction) has changed substantially. did some experimenting to find setting that worked fairly well:
NR: 15
Sensitivity: 6.00
Freq smoothing: 2
may need to look at the screencast and update.

Hi and welcome to Librivox!DJHastings wrote:May I do chapter 5?
You certainly may read that chapter.
I see you have completed your test and had it approved, so now you need to be added to the catalog. I can do that for you but I need to know how you wish to appear. Most of us use our real name but your forum name or a pseudonym are fine too.
Before you record, please be sure to read the first post. All the info you need is there but if you have any questions, please ask.
Have fun with this chapter.

I'd like to be listed as "David J. Hastings" in the catalog.Lynnet wrote:I see you have completed your test and had it approved, so now you need to be added to the catalog. Thank you, David. I've added you to the catalog and if you look at the magic window, you'll see your claim is "official". If you click on your name, it will take you to your personal catalog page, where you can keep track of your commitments.
