Here is my first try for Cousin Sophia. Please tell me whether I made her morose enough LOL

https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/rilladr_03_cousin_sophia.mp3
Recording time: 2:14 min.

While reading a bit through the text, I found one part that had been assigned to Rilla, but I think it should be the narrator speaking:
She whisked out of the kitchen in high dudgeon. Another time she wouldn't go down to show herself off to Susan—Susan, who thought nobody was grown up until she was sixty! And that horrid Cousin Sophia with her digs about freckles and legs! What business had an old—an old beanpole like that to talk of anybody else being long and thin?

Oh and the librivox-uploader in the first post is not a link somehow. I don't know what's wrong but I managed to get to it via another project-thread.

Sonia
I will be on vacation from Wednesday 27 March till Sunday 14 April
and unable to PL during that time. Thank you for your patience.

I have an accent, because I'm not a native American, but you if don't mind could I claim Mrs Meredith section 25 chapters 6 and 32. Also Mrs, Reese, chapter 23?
Thank you :D
Etel
Thanks Etel, those claims are going in the MW now - I'm not a native American either, so don't worry about it!

Thank you! I see that you worked it out, but those square brackets make the links not work. Also, the chapter number is already in the file name, so you don't need to put it again at the end. Just the duration in numbers please, is the simplest and clearest way.

Please use the format as shown in the first post, as this keeps the files sorting themselves correctly for the editor. That first file should have looked like this:

https://librivox.org/uploads/rapunzelina/rilladr_04_kenneth.mp3 (1:50)
(The two digit chapter number is necessary to avoid confusion between chapter 4 and chapter 40.)

Don't worry about reuploading the files you've already done, but if there are any PL corrections, or if (just for example) you decide to go across to the Five Childen and It project and claim more parts there (it's a great project with good parts still to be claimed) you will need to be careful about the filenames, or it just makes everything more difficult for everyone else. But really, click the purple link in my signature and go have a look... ;)

Thanks Mark! You're in! I'm so glad you came to help me out! (You can also have first pick of the roles that don't require accents too! Norman Douglas is a good one - or there's heaps of roles in Chapter 6, if you wanted a small part.)

Sounds great! Please go on and record the rest of her! At some point, preferably the start of the next chapter, I need a voice credit for you. So please say "Cousin Sophia read by yourcataloguename".

This is now fixed - thanks for catching that!
While reading a bit through the text, I found one part that had been assigned to Rilla, but I think it should be the narrator speaking
The narration/character divisions in the script is a bit of a judgement call but I tend to err on the side of getting the character to say more than the narrator, so this is correct as it is.

More Rilla:

In chapter 5 Mr. Meredith's line "You were, I admit," is highlighted in red with black text, but the rest of his lines are red with white text (which I think is more readable.)
In chapter 8 the line "I believe it's really more like 'Rhangs,' Susan." is highlighted for Cousin Sophia, but I think it should be Anne.

Thanks Rachel! Those are in the MW.

Yes, I decided the white/red combination was easier to read - I must have missed a line! I'll check the Ch 8 one now.

Just checking in to confirm Gilbert Blythe.

I'll do my best to put this on a regular schedule so to keep it on pace.
