I'd like to take a crack at Section 21, "The Charleston Forts." This will be my first LibroVox submission, but I've been experimenting a lot with my equipment and I think I'm up for it. The section is short, and if it works, I'll have the confidence to do more.
As this is my first submission, for the catalogue's purposes, you can list me under my real name, Gary Davis.
BTW, I'm interested in this work because a good friend of mine was a direct descendant of John Hay.
Peace,
Gary Davis

I would like to read chapter 6 if still available.
Thanks!
Hello,
Welcome to LibriVox! I have you down for chapter 6, thank you! But, please wait until you get an OK for your one minute test before you record, especially since this is the long chapter. I want to make sure your settings are right before you record. It is going to be hard enough to get through that chapter without having any technical difficulties that could have been taken care of at the beginning.
What name would you like credited on your catalog page?
Ann

Welcome to LibriVox! I have assigned chapter 21 to you, thank you! And, since you have an OK on your test, you are good to go! Have fun!
BTW, I plan to post the rest of the volumes of this work as we go along. Volume 3 is almost ready and will be posted when this one gets closer to being finished. Make sure your friend knows, that way he can listen to the finished product of his ancestor (great-grandfather?), and brag about it! These volumes are great and filled with so much historical information from that time period. I am enjoying listening to them!
