Well I did the run 3 and walk 2 minute one today. And it certainly made me concentrate much more on jogging slower! :) (If I don't concentrate I find I tend to jog way to fast for my current level of fitness.)

We did fairly well this weekend.
Saturday: Skating class. Walked downtown (~3/4-1 mile each way) to do grocery shopping, and back. Walked to neighbor (1 mile each way) to take care of her rats.

Sunday: No skating, but identical walking.

Planned today: Walk over to campus (~1 mile) after voice lesson.

Well done, you two! My shoulder is much better, so I'm planning to go out again tomorrow morning.

Its strange seeing how some people jog, I saw a lady today jogging, while pushing a buggy with one hand with her baby in it.

In fact the other week i saw one girl jogging, in a knee length thick winter jacket. It makes me just a little curious as to why you'd go jogging in that, specially when its so warm out.

Yes, most people dress too warmly when exercising.

I'm such a slacker - today is the second day I *could* (and should) have gone, but haven't. Tomorrow. Really.

I've noticed the same tendency in myself - but am trying to fix it. The last couple of times we've gone skating (including this morning, yay) I've worn only a short-sleeve shirt and sweatjacket on top. Oh, and mittens. Definitely no need for a sweater, or a long-sleeve shirt.

I used to over-dress, too. When I started running, a few years ago in Autumn, I bought lots of long jogging bottoms etc. One of them was very thin, and sometimes I wore it - the others were unusable. Now I'd only run in shorts, unless it were really cold.

I finally went out again today. Too late - it was already too hot and I came back with a face bright red not only from the exercise, but also from the sun! Otherwise, it was fine.

I don't really like shorts, so I do use jogging bottoms.. but considering the weather at the moment, and April has only just ended I should probably invest in some shorts.
