PL:
Sec. 8: Thank you, Molly, for the corrections. Still, the background noise is pretty high (54.8 dB), especially with some machinery starting at 3:30 and something crashing at 5:00, but I realize it might be not easy to get access to a recording studio in your city :-). If the BC and MC do not mind, I think we should give it a pass.
Molly, I enjoyed your reading. If someone starts correcting your pronunciation of German names, please do not listen and continue your other sections in the same manner!

Sec.13 the volume is a bit quiet: 82.6 dB, (the target range 86–92 dB), otherwise -- great!

Section 13 - Methods of Composition

Amplitude adjusted to 89. (methinks)

https://librivox.org/uploads/smijen/beethovenacharacterstudy_13_fischer_128kb.mp3

If all is good, I'd like to read Section 20 - The Late Quartets.
Truth exists for the wise, Beauty for a feeling heart: They belong to each other. - Beethoven

I'm going to assume it's OK to do Section 20 (forgive my boldness) regardless of the status of Section 13 and start with it.

I'm sorry for making you waiting for the configuration.
You can have Section 20. Thanks!

Can I claim section 14, sense of humour, please?
I am able to pronounce the German words.
You can listen to my one minute test in the designated folder.

(So far, I have submitted three short readings and two chapters of a children's book)

Thank you!

Thank you Jisu (I will record the sense of humour section).
By the way, I was in Korea (Ansan and Soeul) in July recording some TESOL videos for my college. I LOVE Korea!
Dini

It's just a made up word, so you can say it however you like.
I say it the same as smidgen.

Hi Dini,
Thank you for your recording, you are right! Beethoven did have a rather tough sense of humor :-)
You did it beautifully, thank you for the pleasure. The only thing I could suggest, is that your recording volume, 85.5 dB, is just a tiny bit under the lower threshold of 86 dB. If you know how to amplify (Effect > Amplify in Audacity), please add a few dB, but do not exceed the upper limit of 92 dB.
I could hear some background noise, but it was within the limits, so don't worry about it now, but you may consult http://wiki.librivox.org/index.php/Basic_Principles_of_Audio_Recording#Noise_Prevention for the future.
Otherwise it's perfect. Looking forward to your other sections.

Thanks, Mark!

I think you/we could edit the volume and noise of this file if this is too distracting to listen to it?
I haven't listened it yet -- just asking just in case :)
