Probably a question I should have asked when I asked for the part.....

Besides the "All" sections, is the Chorus Fairy reading just where it says "chorus" & "chorus of fairies"? Or are "chorus of peers" and the generic "fairies" lines also part of the role?

Please read for "All" and "Chorus of Fairies" and "Fairies". Don't read the "Chorus of Peers" - that's the male chorus parts.

If in doubt, read it! I can always cut stuff out.

Be aware that the formatting of the end of Act 1 song is terrible. The fairies read mostly down the RHS column, but sometimes the text wraps across on the next line into the left column. It should rhyme, so if it doesn't look for more words!

Iolanthe act 1 and 2 has been fixed and uploaded. Wasn't quite sure which of the pronounciations of the name you meant, so made two. Let me know if neither is right:O (also, I hate those stupid v's:P)

No, I've just been concentrating on the June High Noon projects, since we have only 4 days to go! This is not one of them, so the PLing for this one will need to wait a bit.

You can go ahead and record the Peers Chorus in Act 1 whenever you are ready though! You don't need to wait for me!

Now that Patience is all but finished, may I read Lord Tolloller? How is that pronounced? TALL-lol-er or tall-LOL-er or (in the flamboyant style) tall-lol-AIR?

Thanks Alan, this was hilarious! I loved the accent you gave him! When you said "luxury" I nearly fell off my chair laughing - it reminded me so much of a certain Monty Python sketch!

Yes please, if the Peers in Act 1 could have a posher accent that would be lovely!

(And you won't forget about Old Mr Silas, in Wives and Daughters? This is now in editing and I think there's only about four parts left to come in, plus the narration which is coming along slowly but steadily!)

Act 1 PL notes:

@08:04 "canaille" This word is quite a problem for many of us. I've always said "can-I'll" and that's how it rhymes - it's probably not exactly correct for French, but can I have this way anyway please?
@08:18 one line missing "A Latin word, a Greek remark and one that's French!"

You did a brilliant job of finding all the chorus bits in the very long and complicated Act 1! Only one line missing in the whole lot - that's a win!

Act 2 PL notes:

@00:30 the fairies are also supposed to repeat the three choruses of "Yes Britian won her proudest bays..."
@01:04 "Type of Ovidius Naso" needs to rhyme with "say so" please.
@01:24 the fairies don't sing this song about "Friendship's Name". (It isn't obvious in this script, but the fairies are not onstage for this bit.) So the fairies don't sing all the way through to your file time stamp 02:27, then they come back on for the finale.

The rest of Act 2 is PL OK!
