I’ve done this one in the backblocks “Dad Rudd” voice I’m using in the “On Our Selection” project. (Coming soon! :D ) You will note that, like Corporal Jones coming to attention, a feature of his singing is that he’s a fraction of a beat behind on the boom-de-yada’s. Comes from what’s known as “syncopated drinking”. Which is “an irregular movement from bar to bar”.

Just wanted you to know, Ruth, that I am remaining calm and centred as I await your singing challenge.

Off-key and gravel-voiced -- but hey, at least I'm enthusiastic!

Breathe in. Breathe out.
Forget this and attaining enlightenment will be the least of your problems.

Well, then, Ruth, since the rest of my rendition is so horribly off-key, let's toss all that and simply let the bibbity-bibbities be my contribution to the effort; they were the fun bit anyhow!

We'll see :D - I'd like a variety of voices and there's plenty of time to go yet.

I've never heard the 2010 version, and I can't seem to find it in the cattle-dog. Could anyone please help out a bear of very little brain?

Cheers,
SOTE

It's a rare beast - I think its only iteration is at 7:58 in the Fundraising Podcast.

Here's mine:

I think the spacing between the verses could be a little long because I paused it for breath. I had to take a break part way through the last "boom-de-ya-das". :) Thanks!

Straightforward recording. I think I left off a couple boom-de-ya-das at the end

Little accompanying "booms" in the end - at first with the beat, then syncopated. It should be still timed with the music - generated silence up to that point. Use 'em how you will. 8-)
