I think these two claims might have been missed from a few days ago - I cede my claim to section 175, as SeekWisdom actually got there first! 8-)

But I'll give you the King of Ninevah instead! All 30 seconds of him... ;)

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/dbsot_kingninevah_19.mp3

And 6 seconds of the Priests of Baal! (The timing was tricky, so the voice credit is afterwards.)

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/dbsot_priestsofbaal_17.mp3

And 28 seconds of the Chief Baker:

I'm definitely stopping and going to bed now!
Yes, I must have missed that. Thanks for noticing, Beth. And thanks for those parts.

I've just noticed that you moved the Adam and Eve story to the bottom - changing all the section numbers for every other part! Did you mean to do that?

SeekWisdom is quite new here - I think this is her first ever DR. You may need to PM her to let her know her new section numbers, as she may not be able to find them now.

EDIT: Those parts are now sections 167 and 191.

Yes, I thought that it might have been putting people off, as that's all you could see of the magic window before scrolling down.

I don't think it is a good idea to move it - short story collections usually keep the stories in order. It's different to a play where the completed parts are moved underneath the finished Acts.

Actually, considering the size and scope of the entire DR, I think it is filling up fairly quickly. Most of the women's parts have been snapped up. The problem will be (always is) in filling the specifically male voice parts. We just don't have a lot of men here in the DR forum and if you are reserving 21 more roles for male voices (in addition to the ones already filled) then I think that is mostly likely going to be the thing that will slow down the project.

Also, I suspect that when female readers look at the MW and see that all the main roles are reserved for men, they get less motivated to join and read the "unnamed woman" parts.

I actually changed some of the roles to neutral. I'll do few more. I can move the sections back at the end.

King of Israel (in Story 18)

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/dbsot_kingofisrael_18.mp3 (00:28)

That was my warm-up for the narration for Story 13 (David, Part 1):

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/dbsot_narrator_13.mp3 (17:04)

This file includes 10 seconds silence at the end, in case the final file ends up longer than 30min. If it doesn't just cut the final silence back to 5 seconds.

EDIT: Oops! I think we have a pronunciation inconsistency with the name of Saul's daughter "Michal". I note the reader has said "Michael" in her voice credit but I've said "Michelle" in my narration. BC's choice which is right, but I think consistency is desirable.

Also, just FYI, I went with "Phili-stynes" rather than "Phili-steens" mostly because I only thought about it later. I don't suppose it matters much if it varies a bit from chapter to chapter?

Thanks for those.
I actually pronounce Michal more like MIK-al. I just looked it up and I found: The Hebrew spelling is Mikhal and it is pronouced mee-khal.

As for the Philistines, you've pronounced it the same as Levi who read David. And it probably doesn't matter. We can't keep both groups of people completely happy, so we might as well annoy them both. (:

Oh well, so we were all wrong!

I might wait for the PL on this chapter to make sure there isn't anything else, then make all the changes at once. And if the PL would be kind enough to note the time stamps of the "Michal" appearances, that would be very helpful!

Do you want me to re-record the voice credit? It's only a couple seconds long, anyway. :D

Narration for Sections 14 and 15 - I wasn't sure if you wanted the voice credits again, or if you only plan to do them once for all the "david" sections? Anyway, it's here on the grounds that you can always cut it if you don't want it! This one was a tongue twister with all the place names - but at least I know "Michal" is right now!

https://librivox.org/uploads/annise/dbsot_narrator_15.mp3 (19:22)

Here's also the Men of Judah, from Story 11. I'm experimenting with my "crowd effect". Also, I think the last line belongs to the narrator, but I read it anyway as it is coloured for the "men".
