Librivox's Twitter account?
Does Librivox "own" their Twitter account? And if so, has anyone thought about changing the avatar to a more Librivox-ian logo (the actual LV logo)? It looks like...a hallway in the dark?

Don't have twitter to check - but its probably the original logo - the one that was on the catalogue for years. Like everything , it's a matter of personal taste. Some liked it, some hated it . And of course it depends on what you use to view it and your settings.

Yes, we "own" the Twitter account. The avatar doesn't look like much - you're right.
We don't really have a logo/icon for LV, other than the name. I'm not sure what we'd replace it with.
(You can look at the page and icon without having an account: https://twitter.com/librivox )

I always liked the poster:

We could square it, change the writing to a simple LIBRIVOX...
It's close enough to the current "logo" without being boring.
What do you think?

We can have a header photo and a profile photo, apparently.
Header photo (recommended dimensions are 1500x500 pixels)
Profile photo (recommended dimensions are 400x400 pixels)
Photos can be in any of the following formats: JPG, GIF, or PNG.
I can upload 'em. You make 'em .

I will make them from the poster (or come up with something based on it). I'm a bit busy today trying to recover data from a dead harddisk, but I'll probably get to it in a day or two. Although, we've been twittering for ages from a "dark hallway", so I guess it's not super urgent
Cheers, Ava.

Actually, come to think of this a bit more...
I have alerted Kathryn - of cover fame - to this thread. Her ideas are always amazing and professional, much better than what I (and probably you too ) could come up with.
Let's see if she has time to do it.

Have you looked at the image on twitter? It seems like a very tiny, rather pixely part of our old bookshelf to me...? Mostly it's green. And black.
Anyway, I have heard back from Kathryn. She's very interested, but will be travelling for two weeks starting tomorrow. My personal and totally unhumble opinion about this is: The image can wait. It has been like this for 8 years now, so it can wait another couple of weeks.
