Grey's story of the struggles to build the Union Pacific Railroad in the late 1860's. Typical western characters, but placed in a factual setting. His first real attempt at historical fiction. The heroes must battle the human challenges of greed, ruthlessness, and ambition, as well as the tremendous challenges of nature, to make the rail connection between East and West. ( Bob Rollins)

Couple of things as you start.

I've set you up as a reader in our catalog. Your reader page is here: https://librivox.org/reader/10018 For now, I've used "Bob R" as your catalog name. Just let me know if you would like to use something else and I can change it.

As a soloist, you are your own book coordinator. That means that you will fill in the titles to the chapters in the "Section" part of the Magic Window (or MW), you will post the links to your uploaded sections in to the MW and you will post the duration of each file in the "notes" field in mm:ss format. I've filled in the first couple of section titles to get you started.

If it were me, I would introduce the first section as intro and ch 1, and then say intro, read the intro, then say ch 1 and then start in on the book.

Hi Bob,
Putting in my 2 cents worth here
Another option would be naming Section 1 'Opening Quote, Chapters 1 and 2 of' ...etc.
Since these 3 parts total only 1015 words, it will still be a short file. As an ordinary listener (when not PL'ing) I find 2 or 3 minute files rather a bother, not even time to pour a cuppa before having to go start the next section.

I bookmark and subscribe to all projects I sign up for so I don't lose track when the project moves from one forum to another, and I get notified immediately when new posts are made. Otherwise I would have to keep a notebook and that is soooo old-fashioned (my age is showing)

Also could you please remove the ~ from the project title? Thanks!
