When you read "Well, then, four nobles a week thou shalt have for the ready wit. And tell the Abbot from me that he has my pardon."
I thought...nobles??? noblemen? for what..servants? a meat supply? I guess' nobles' is a form of money, but I haven't heard it used so before. I have a strangely literal mind. And the children in the wood did die, so anything might pop up in these tales.
