I tried everything you say but the system still doesn't allow me to reach the section compiler screen. I can enter the management dashboard and also the uploader with the new password but not the section compiler..

Problem located and fixed - please try again. You can simply click on the link underneath the MW to enter it.

Nicoross, ho ascoltato adesso il tuo primo capitolo. Mi piace molto come leggi! Porti proprio un entusiasmo e un ritmo perfetto a questo testo. Ho alcune note:

1. A circa 6:00: “Giurammio! gli è tardi davvero!" Invece della prima parola penso forse di sentirne un’altra

2. A circa 9:03 c’e` un po’ di rumore da togliere

3. Ci devono essere 5 secondi di silenzio alla fine della registrazione

4. Il volume e` alto (97dB). Puoi abbassarlo di circa 8 dB per arrivare verso 89?

5. This one I'm going to write in English so that maybe Ava can weigh in: There's a good deal of clipping, probably because the volume was so high. What strategies do you suggest to get rid of this, Ava? I'm bad at that, personally.

(I do not anticipate it will be a problem with the other two chapters because Checker puts them at 91dB and 88dB.)

About the clipping: This is one of the things where you cannot do anything after it happened. It is best avoided altogether.
How bad is it? Meaning: Can you hear it (clipping distorts the voice) or can you only see it in the waveform?

If you can only see it, then lowering the volume on this recording will do. It will be necessary to lower the input volume for all future recordings, but you say this already happened, so it's good.

If the voice is distorted, it's a question of how disturbing you and the reader find it. If it is audible only here and there, then probably leave it. If the whole file has distortions throughout, it might be worth considering a re-record, but that's for the reader to decide.

I can hear it. As for how noticeable it is... Well, I was probably listening for it because I already knew the volume was high, so it's difficult to say how often I would have noticed it if I had gone in not expecting it. It is throughout.

C'e` solo un piccolo errore. A circa 8:40, c'e` scritto "la prima frase ch'avea trovata nel suo libriccino di Lingua Francese.”
e io ascolto invece: “la prima frase ch'avea trovata nel suo libro di-- di Lingua Francese.”

Hey there folks, ciao a tutti i volontari !

Writing simply to report that Chapter 2 has just been PLed by me and found quite flawless.

Only upon the end of the listening did i find out that there it's already been PLed. However I don't think that an additional PLing could ever go amiss, so here's my "PL OK" for that chapter. Cheers!
