Must've had my headset up TOO loud!! I use audacity- once I saw the link and video- I immediatley called my teen son over :) He fixed them-please let me know if it is ok- I still have the original track and the corrected one on my pc.
Thank you for the advice about the pages- good to know, because there is always room to improve!
(Normally I would ask ahead about doing a recording- but took my chances on #14 because I had extra time which is rare...)

Very speedy fixes, Jen. Both on the money!

Section 13: PL OK
Section 14: PL OK

I am always experimenting and learning new things here at LV everyday. Sometimes I mess it up instead of improving, but I still keep trying. And there are always some more experienced audio people around here who will kindly answer my questions--so it's a great place to learn! :) (And, yes--we have to grab all those fleeting spare minutes that we can find, right?) Thanks again!
Kind regards,

Thanks, fiddlesticks. I kind of have to sneak in my PL'ing when I can find the time (like Jen and I were discussing), so sometimes I'm fast and sometimes not so fast. :)

Can I record sections 16 and 17, please. In the magic window section 16 is listed as "Great Mind". However, in the Guttenburg copy (that we are to read from) that section is listed as "Great Heart". I just wanted you to know that.

I will also take section 17 labeled "Mr. Ready-To-Halt".

I am new and as for my name preference... can I just use my actual name: Glenn Koster, Jr.? If so, then that will work, if not, then I can use my forum name GKSpeaks. I have a personal website (if you need it) at http://www.gkspeaks.com

Thank you. :)

Here is Skill 11, time is 23:10
Hi, RoboticLobsters--

I think that you may have accidentally uploaded an unedited file. In the first 3 minutes of the track, there are 5 repeats and 2 places where you clear your throat. So I stopped listening. Your file should be ready to use before you upload it here. I would ask that you listen to your track, start to finish, while reading along with the text--and make your fixes before uploading again.

Since you will be uploading again, we need 5 seconds of silence on the end. Also, your volume is at 86.2 dB--on the low edge of acceptable. You might want to bump it up just a bit. Thanks! :)
Kind regards,
Lucretia

I don't see in the original post what information we are to use for ID3 metadata tags for this project. Did I miss the information somewhere?

You don't have to fill those things in anymore, it can be done at cataloguing

Thank you! I am assuming it is chapter 11.

Unfortunately I can't help you with the checker as I could not get it installed either. Something about Java, and I don't know what  but you can always ask in help wanted!

Just wanted to touch base and let you know that I have both sections 2 and 3 recorded; and I am just wanting to have time to edit them. I should have them uploaded and ready for PL by the end of this month.
