Section 3

Duration: 32:23

I did a lot of sound editing on this. It sounds bad really. I may do it over again. For now I will record the other sections and check the adjustments on my microphone.

Hi Bill, I don't know what you mean by 'it sounds really bad'. I don't hear any background noise or other bothersome sounds.
So... Section 3 now PL OK. Marked so in MW. I also corrected the run time in the MW.

Had noise problems with this. My refrigerator is causing EMF interference on the circtuit I am plugged into. Last few paragraphs.

PL Notes Section 1
@ 2:31 Changed the word civil to civilian, and added the word in to the sentence:
For your future careers in civil life or wherever Fortune may lay your paths, you will carry with you my sincere best wishes and my affectionate regard.
making the sentence read
For your future careers in civilian life or wherever Fortune may lay in your paths, you will carry with you my sincere best wishes and my affectionate regard.

@4:16 Omitted the word when in the sentence: And then, when we had grown to full strength

@ 5:45 Omitted the word City in the sentence: Leaving Camp Upton at three-fifteen, we pulled into Long Island City just in time

@ 9:02 Misread the word solidity as solidarity in the sentence:
but already we could feel in our imaginations the solidity which our unsailorly legs had missed.

@ 12:35 Misread reserve as reverse in the sentence: Our position was in reserve of the British lines north of Amiens and southwest of Arras.
I had to listen to the file from the thread as it is not yet in the MW

PL Notes for Section 2

@1:19 repeat to1:27 of
Our next move brought us to face with the enemy just south of Merval, where we took a position in an exposed field,

@3:50 repeat of 'An Italian unit

@4:14 repeat of 'where we bivouaced for a day.

@6:56 omitted the sentence ' Seven of our men were that day cited for exceptional bravery.

@11:37 misread word 'continued' as conducted in the sentence 'It was necessary to the maintenance of discipline and the morale of the army that drills should be continued, '

@14:33 repeat of phrase 'the valor that gained the Aisne,

@14:58 added "This LibriVox recording is in the Public Domain." which was already said at the beginning, although I don't think it hurts anything to repeat it.

Thank you. I hope to start Davey Crockett's auto biography. I have it in solo projects. My Southern accent will be a natural for it.

The project is at archive! It may be a little bit longer than usual because I have another project that I sent it an hour ago and it is not doing anything yet. I will check again in an hour or two to see if we have progress!
