Yay! I'll PL this later - gotta do some shopping right now. All the coloured links in my sig line go to plays or DRs, the plain links are to book chapters. And of course, you are welcome to take other parts in this DR, as long as they don't overlap the chapters you've already done.Tauriel wrote:And here is Miss Piper!

Whew, that makes it my fourth part recorded and uploaded tonight. Now I just have to go volunteer for more…

Lovely work! Especially with the difficult name of "Mr. Cholmley" and his family! Well done!Tauriel wrote:And here is Miss Piper!

There is just one word "vestige" which isn't quite right. You've made it sound French, and it probably is a French derived word, but in English at this time it would have been pronounced "VEST-ij." http://www.howjsay.com/index.php?word=vestige
As the listeners won't have the text in front of them, I think we need to make unusual words as clear as possible. If you could just change this bit (you might want to re-record the whole line to make it smoother) then re-export and reupload with the same filename. The new file will over-write the old one, and my links in the MW will still work!

Miss Piper is now PL perfect!Tauriel wrote:Could I read for Lady Cumnor?
I've actually already got a claim for Lady Cumnor which I an about to put in the MW, but I can give you Mrs Hamley? She's the wife of Squire Hamley, a London bred lady and the mother of Roger and Osborne. She's quite sick for most of the book, and dies in Chapter 18 (the later chapters are flashbacks) she has a couple of dramatic scenes before she goes though!
Or there's Lady Mary, daughter of Lady Cumnor, if you had your heart set on a title!

I'd love to read for Mrs. Hamley, but she is in chapter 5, which was the chapter Bethia was in. Perhaps it would be alright if I make her sound different?

Chapter 8 @01:00 should be "gravely squiring"
Chapter 49 @05:00 there are two mistakes in this sentence, probably easiest to redo the whole line: "Or is there any reason for believing that in time it may come true? I ask because such reports, if unfounded, do harm to young ladies."
Chapters 14, 25, 26, 32, 50, 54, 57, 58 are PL OK!
Very well done! Only 2 little PL notes in 10 chapters of recording! Impressive!
