What do you think about it, Hokuspokus?

Great find, Nastya!
Yes, I think we can use this. It's not 100% ideal but as we don't reprint the text or copy it to our side, it should be OK.

For future use of this side, sehnsucht, you must be extremely careful in two cases:
- when the writing was only recently re-discoverd, the publisher has 30(?) years of copyright for it, no matter how old the text is.
- when the author has died in the 20th century, the texts might have been published posthumously. They need to be published before 1923 for us to use them.
In these cases we really need a source that states the publishing date.
Thank you so much, Hokuspokus, for checking the website and for these very kind reminders. Yes, I will not record very recent ones. I think I am mainly interested in authors who have been dead for centuries (sorry for them!) ... 8-)

That's great!

Thea Xu, please, find the poems which you recorded on that site and post the links so that I can add it to the MW. :) And please check the recordings with the text there so that there will be no discrepancy (only slight one).
Hi ShiNeKo! I think after the prooflistening I have to redo the recordings. I will record them with the text from the Shikeku website, and upload them this weekend!

I hope this 1860 treaty is a worthy addition to this year's collection of short works. It is prose of the most pompous kind, being an international treaty, but its interest lies in its historical significance. Let me know if there are any problems with having this kind of text in the LV catalogue.

I'm submitting a few poems from an abandoned solo. The disclaimer won't be exactly as noted in the first post, but I made it as close as possible from the solo one. These are all by a single author and have a single source. Here's the information that applies to all the files:
  • URL for online text - https://archive.org/details/poesie00orlagoog
  • Date of publication (if available) - 1856
  • Name of author - Ugo Foscolo
  • Birth date and date of death of author if available (xxxx-xxxx) - 1778 - 1827
  • URL for author information (e.g. wikipedia) if available - http://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ugo_Foscolo
  • Brief indication of the work in a few words: (for example: poetry or prose, fiction or non-fiction, genre or keywords; will be used in the summary): Poetry
  • Language: Italian
  • Reader: Merione
Here's the information about the individual files (including a link directly to each poem within the pdf). The first poem I listed (Di sé stesso), was PLd in the original project and had been marked PL OK.
