It seems this particular recording session was ill-fated right from the start... https://librivox.org/uploads/bloopers/troublegettingstarted_hobbit.mp3
Between being a full-time college student and working 20+ hours per week, I'm not able to be involved at LV these days, but I remain a loyal fan and look forward to a triumphant return sometime in the (probably distant) future.

When somebody compiles a book of phrases authors aren't allowed to use for the sake of audiobook narrators, I believe the phrase "from which she suspended" should be included.

I love this one. :) Hehe, you're funny.

Also with the one from Peter Pan, I had know idea how much you sacrificed in order to make this book...goodness with tongue twisters like that. :D

Having heard your attempts, I have to agree! Sounded vaguely like "seashells she sells..."!

For my own part, I would like to ban the phrase "primary parameters". For a few moments there, I thought I was doing "Peter Piper"!

And here's my own entry for the "banned word index"

For some reason I can't record tonight......WARNING - Very loud noises, I don't recommend headphones :-) https://librivox.org/uploads/bloopers/fourthofjuly.mp3

It wasn't even dark when I recorded this --- there are a lot more going off now, though not all as close by.

Let us add the phrases "first to draw blood" (https://librivox.org/uploads/bloopers/firsttodrawblood_hobbit.mp3) and "that they brought with them" (https://librivox.org/uploads/bloopers/thattheybroughtwiththem_hobbit.mp3; this one really shouldn't have been that hard) to the banned phrases list.

I am ashamed of my dirty mind, but this phrase didn't translate from the page to my brain quite the way J.M. Barrie intended, and I couldn't stop laughing. https://librivox.org/uploads/bloopers/shameonme_hobbit.mp3

ETA: From the same session - my dad had to come into the room where he knew I was recording and thought he might as well make ridiculous noises since he was interrupting me anyway. https://librivox.org/uploads/bloopers/interruptingdad_hobbit.mp3

Yup, those pesky syllables just won't stay in the right order

And here's mine. Polish doesn't distingush between long and short vowels, so any English fragment when these alternate in rapid succession is likely to cause me trouble. Example:

Having trouble getting started today... first the disclaimer (I should DEFINITELY not be making mistakes with that by now!) and then the chapter title.
