I have a problem trying to access the Google docs for this project, so this recording has been done from the Gutenberg text. I hope I got all the lines.

Will the MW have links to the individual Google doc for each chapter? Most DRs seem to have these.
Thank you. Yes, it will, as soon my new keyboard arrives (Tuesday). I'm copying and pasting each space. So annoying!!

ETA: Yikes, ordered the wrong keyboard. New one coming next week.

Thanks!! I'm glad it came across - I've never tried an Italian accent before and it was a ton of fun :D

I would like to be a villain. A fictional one. Can I be Count Attilio? :)

This one has a bit more clipping than I generally like. Let me know if you want me to re-record part some lines.

Sarah, I hope you don't mind, but I went ahead and assigned this section to Beniamino while I was in the MW. Beniamino, thanks for claiming. :)

P.S. I have Chapter 7 recorded and will edit soon. But my recording will slow down a bit this week because 1) I have a cold and my voice is in no shape to be recorded, and 2) I'm moving, and will therefore have a new recording setup.

Sorry to take so long--life intervened!

Here is Don Abbondio, Chapter 2: https://librivox.org/uploads/kilteddragon/betrothed_02_donabbondio.flac

Duration: 7:10

On my hard disk, the file says it's 13.8 megabytes, but when I uploaded it the uploader said the file was 13.5 kilobytes. Please let me know if you have any problems opening the file.

Dear Sarah,

In preparing to record Chapter 25 (Don Abbondio), it seems to me that there might be a mistake in the Google document. At the point where it says:
Don Abbondio: Speak; I ask for nothing but to find you free from blame.
I think that line should be assigned to the Cardinal, and not Don Abbondio, who is the one who is being commanded to speak.

Let me know if I really should read it as Don Abbondio. Thanks!

Eduardo, I prepped the text for that chapter, and you are completely right that that is an error. I've now corrected it in the google doc. Thanks for catching it! :)
