Only one note for part 1: at 13:02 the phrase "I could eat some mutton" is repeated.

Other than that, great read!

Part 1 is PL OK!
ETA: Actually, I am so sorry I didn't catch it the first time but I forgot to run the file through Checker. The volume for section 1 is a bit high at 95.7 dB, if you could get the volume between 86 & 92 dB then it will be all set :)

Section 2 is also a bit loud at 94.2 dB, if you can get it below 92 then it would be great!

I've pulled back the volume on all three parts submitted so far.

I saw the updated links, and the volume is better - they come in between 93.5 and 94.7, but are still a little bit loud... My only note for section 3 is at 25:13 - in the phrase "two inconsistent and conflicting impressions of utter strangeness," the word 'of' is repeated.

Thanks for catching that goof! Part 3 has been corrected.

Thanks also for the feedback on the volume levels. For now, I'm going to leave them where they are. I've used these levels for all my solo recordings and (so far) have had no issues.

I'm hoping to finish the rest of the book over the next week or so.

For a solo, as long as there's no clipping, which I've never noticed in your recordings, Bob, a higher volume isn't a problem. Consistency is more important, so the volume would be more important in a collab, so the listeners aren't constantly having to readjust their settings.

Thanks for letting me know, Karen - I'm not always sure what is a guideline and what stops a recording from uploading at all when the project is completed, so I'm always glad to learn more! And my school ends next friday so I will be totally free to finish PL'ing the last sections once they are ready. :)
