I'd like to do Section 43, please ("How Bright She Was...").

Thanks!

Leni,

May I claim 5-7? I recently learned from Carolin's "noble prize winners" book suggestion thread that this guy is a noble prize winner, and I am considering reading one of his books. This will be a good intro to him and his reading.

[Assuming, of course, that I can pronounce his name without giggling at childhood remembrances of the Swedish Chef  ]

@Greg, thanks for the section!

@MaryAnn, sure sections assigned. One of the best side-effects of LibriVox: getting to know new authors! :D

Our PLer hasn't been in the forum since February, so I guess we need a new one. I am announcing for a new PLer. :)

Here is
06 - https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/worldsbestliterature5_06_various_128kb.mp3 - 9:44

For my sections, I am using an on-line pronunciation guide . . . although it only has two voices and one speed, so for some of the words, it's somewhat limited . . . hopefully, the Norwegian doesn't sound too bad.

And another
05 - https://librivox.org/uploads/leni/worldsbestliterature5_05_various_128kb.mp3 - 27:22

I've moved my recording set up to the basement, where it is cooler, for the summer. As I finished this, the floor boards above started cracking. Must have been a temperature change thing because I'm alone. Anyway, I have taken out what I can, but as it only affects the "end of section 5" bit, I did not re-record.

Hi Leni

I'm not volunteering to DPL, but having been woken up too early by the usual chorus of forest birds, I PL'd the following three sections:

25 - Selected excerpts, by Johann Jakob Bodmer - PL OK throughout.

34 - Selected poems, by Juan Boscan - PL all OK.

43 - How Bright She Was, How Lovely Did She Show, by Mary Elizabeth Braddon - again completely PL OK.

Best wishes
Martin
