Hi Lynnet,

In the text of CHAPTER 135 THE LORD REASONETH WITH JOB

I found this name" Keren-happuch." I have not been able to discover its proper pronunciation. Any ideas?

Do this in remembrance of me.

No clue... I would read it as "Kerren-Happooch" but that's just because if I'm not sure, I make it up as I go along  You could ask for pronunciation advice in the "Need advice" forum (There is a specific thread for that, I believe) and maybe a Hebrew scholar will be among our number.

I believe it is: ker'uhn-HAP-uhk

I clicked the link a few times, and each time I was taken to a page that appeared only for an instant before going blank. It looked like some kind of table with words on the left maybe, and ? on the right?

Did anyone else experience this? Or did you follow the link to a page that actually stayed put!

I definitely hear the rooster and the motorcycle from 0:23-0:25. It's during the silence after you finish the intro and before you start reading the story. You could just paste in complete silence using Audacity. Generate | Silence. :)

I went through Chapter 25 and 26 this morning to see if I could find anything. Audacity is giving me a flat line after the intro and before the beginning in Chapter 26'
The only thing I can figure out is that I downloaded it before I cleaned it up. I re-downloaded it this morning with the copy I have that shows a flat line at that point in Chapter 26.

I went to Chapter 14 on Audacity. I showed a flat line. I then amplified it +20db for that section and there was some noise showed up. I removed that noise and then amplified that section -20 db to put the level back where it was before.
No one here could hear that noise before I did this.
I have re-downloaded it and hope this fixes that one.

How do you have your line in Audacity set? I showed a flat line in the introduction of
Chapter 17. One section had a small tick mark in it so I amplified that section +20db. some noise that could have been a motorcycle several blocks away showed up. I cleaned that section and then amplified it back -20 db to put it back where it was without the noise.
I hope this fixes it.
Those noises are not being shown in the normal audacity line.

Chapter 20 has been cleaned ( I hope) and re-downloaded.

I had to amplify the flat lines by 20 db and then remove any noise that appeared, then reduce it by -20db.

It worked for me. And I have some addons enabled that block stuff I don't want to see but all that page came in fine. Perhaps try it like this:
http://betterdaysarecoming.com/bible/pronunciation.html
and then go to the K from there.
Or even just:
http://betterdaysarecoming.com/
and if it works, click the pronunciation link on that page.
