An Introduction to the Birds of Pennsylvania, by George Miksch Sutton

This project is now complete. All audio files can be found on our catalog page here:

https://librivox.org/introduction-to-birds-of-pennsylvania-by-george-miksch-sutton/

George Miksch Sutton was a world renowned ornithologist whose art and studies rival those of Audubon. In this volume Sutton presents brief descriptions of nearly 200 species of birds common to Pennsylvania, but whose range often covers much of the eastern United States and beyond. This book also features an invaluable introduction to the study of birds for the beginner. (Summary by Larry Wilson)

Time for some more birds . . . .

To an MC: This is a new author, and apparently that causes the template generator not to work. I've manually entered the information, but not the keywords. He has no Wikipedia entry, but here is a link for his bio. https://www.okhistory.org/publications/enc/entry?entry=SU011

Hi Larry - Birds of Pennsyvania - how can I resist...I'll MC. I've added Sutton to the author database. He does have a wikipedia page, btw.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Miksch_Sutton

Back shortly to add the MW.

For future reference, if you know it's a new author, you can always ask to have the author added to the database before you fill in the template. :)

Thanks for you help with this, Jo, and for the Wikipedia link that I missed. :D
You may hear from Phyllis who I think was having the same problem, and I advised her that you could add the author and then she could set up the template. Strange that I've never run into this issue in all of the projects that I've set up.

Anyway, we are ready for readers and a DPL would be most welcome. :D

Thank you for your interest in this project.
We do, however, request that our new readers first complete a one-minute test recording to check out all of your technical specifications and any reading issues.

New to recording? Please read our Newbie Guide to Recording!

Here is a direct link to instructions for the one-minute sample recording:
https://wiki.librivox.org/index.php?title=1-Minute_Test

Among the useful information there you will find instructions for completing your test recording. Once you have the "OK" on that, post again here and you are free to record for this project. Let us know how you would like to be credited in the LibriVox catalog - real name, pseudonym or other nickname.
