FYI, I did read some of the footnotes, though I generally moved them to the end of a sentence. I wasn't overly thrilled with the way a couple of them ended up in the middle of a letter by Mozart but really couldn't resist the one where Mozart says that, "they need not make human beings converse like pigs." Still, if the flow doesn't work let me know - they're easy enough to pull out.

Let me know what needs fixing.
