Great reading, Joanne! The only issue is there's just a bit of background noise that needs to be cancelled. I've attached the link to a helpful tutorial if you've never done that before.

I finished my chapter (56).

First, it "passed with warnings" on the Checker: I got the same Volume warning as I got before on my 1-minute test.

I tried amplifying just a tiny bit and it passed! The volume on the first 6 minutes is a bit quieter because I moved the mic! But it's not super noticable I hope.

I would like to do Chapter 64 "The Panther" if no one else has claimed it. It's short enough that I can probably handle it. It's been a long time since I've recorded anything, so I need to ease my way back into the process.

I can't get my old Logitech microphone to work. The power button does not turn on, so I guess it's dead. Ugh! Should have been a simple recording, but now I have to get a new microphone I guess. Was hoping to avoid that. I guess I'm going to be slower than I thought.

No worries. There is still time! But that's no fun to find a dead mic...

Just so you know, I've had the first half-and-a-bit of section 1 recorded for the last week or so, but I haven't found any more recording time since then. I was hoping to get to it today, but that's not going to happen now. It's coming, though!
